Microalgae Play a Vital Role in Global Oxygen Production
Microalgae are tiny organisms with a significant role in maintaining Earth’s ecosystem balance. Through photosynthesis, microalgae contribute substantially to oxygen production in the atmosphere.
Several scientific studies suggest that marine organisms, including microalgae, produce a large portion of the oxygen we breathe daily. This makes the ocean a critical component of life-support systems on Earth.
Unfortunately, marine environments are increasingly under pressure due to climate change and pollution, which may affect the sustainability of microalgae. Therefore, protecting marine ecosystems is essential to maintaining this balance.
